- Member logged in cookie - maintains a users secure / logged in session.
There are however some cookies that are designed to be saved longer, in these cases the user participates in activating the cookie by ticking a box.
- Login Remember Me - When a user logs in and ticks remember me, the user session will survive for a longer period of time, even if the user restarts their browser or device.
- Shopping Cart Remember Me - When a user wants to make it faster to checkout next time. Only the ID is saved as a cookie.
Where a merchant should consider the GDPR legislation more carefuly.
- Affiliate Tracking - This tracking mechanism is designed to capture the ID of the affiliate who helped bring a visitor to the website. The cookie is saved without the visitor being aware of it. This cookie is designed to last longer than the browser session. The duration is a configurable setting for the merchant.

Other Session Storage (Similar to session cookies)
- Services such as popups, may also store a short term value in browser session storage. This is to prevent the popups from constantly occuring. There is no server side data associated with a popup.
- Shopping cart cache. The shopping cart detail maybe stored in the temporary browser session storage, to make it faster to navigate your website, and retain a constantly visible cart.
In general, our platform is compliant with New Zealand and International law, and you do not need to add Cookie warnings, nor cookie consents.
