House or Rental Listings Pages

Use the Listings area in your CMS to add rental and home listings, check how they look and keep them up to date. Each listing is one property with its own page on your website, showing photos, price, bedrooms, bathrooms, a location map and an enquiry form.

Open the Listings area

  1. Log in to your CMS.
  2. Click Web Pages in the left menu.
  3. Click your listings page. It may be called Listings, Rentals or Properties.

You will see a table with one row for each property. It shows the Type, Location, Title, Price, Status, Listed date and Hits (how many times the listing was viewed).

The four buttons at the end of each row do the following:

  • Grey pencil (Edit): change the listing.
  • Grey magnifier (Preview): see the listing page as visitors will.
  • Red eye with a line (Hide): hide the listing from your website.
  • Red X (Delete): remove the listing.

  3. Type the Listing Display Title. The street address works well, for example 55 Devon Street, Rotorua.

  5. Type the Location Suburb/City, then the Location Map Address with the street, suburb, city and postcode.
  6. Write the description in the Full Story box. You can add text and images.

Tips

  • Add a Display Price to every listing so visitors see a clear price.
  • Fill in the SEO Title on every listing, and mention the suburb and city once in the title and once in the summary.
  • Keep the short summary to 50 words or fewer.
  • Use Private Notes for reminders, because they are never shown on your website.
  • Your website is responsive, so check a listing on a phone as well as a computer.
  • If a change does not show on your website, click PUBLISH and refresh the page.
