Importing Content from Another Platform

Moving your website to us is often easier than you might think. We offer a range of import options depending on the platform you're currently using. The amount of data that can be transferred will vary between platforms, but in most cases we can migrate your content, preserve important SEO information, and help you get up and running quickly.

Importing from Shopify

We have a Shopify import plugin that allows us to connect directly to your Shopify store and transfer data into your new website.

Depending on your Shopify plan and available permissions, we can import:

  • Content
  • Products - Product categories and related product data
  • Customers (where available)
  • Orders (where available)

While we aim to transfer as much information as possible, the exact data available for import can vary based on your Shopify subscription and account settings.

Importing from WordPress

WordPress websites can typically be imported by scraping the existing website content.

This process allows us to:

  • Import page content
  • Import blog content
  • Capture page URLs where possible
  • Retain SEO-friendly URL structures to help minimise the impact on search engine rankings

Products, customers, members, and other database-driven content are not normally included in a website scrape. These should be exported from WordPress as CSV files and then imported using our eCommerce or membership tools.

Importing from Wix, Weebly and Other Website Builders

For platforms such as Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, and many other website builders, we can perform a content scrape migration.

A content scrape will typically:

  • Copy page content
  • Capture images where possible
  • Import page titles and SEO information where available
  • Retain page URLs where practical

Because every platform structures content differently, results can vary. The imported content usually provides a strong starting point, but some cleanup and formatting adjustments may be required after the migration is complete.

Important Notes

  • Not all third-party platforms allow complete access to website data.
  • Some content may require manual adjustment after import.
  • eCommerce products, customer records, memberships, and order history may require separate export and import processes.
  • We recommend reviewing all imported content before launching your new website.
  • SEO data can often be retained, but it should always be checked after migration.

If you're unsure whether your current platform can be imported, contact Support and we can advise on the best migration option for your website.
