You can link from one location on a page to another place on the same page. The destination is called a bookmark. The originating link is called an inpage link. These are great for "autoscrolling" so user can quickly navigate large pages of text.
- Go to the part of the page that needs to be anchored.
- Click on the "insert..." combo box, and then "insert link..."
- Click on "Create an inpage bookmark"
- Enter a bookmark name. eg "bookmark1" and then "create anchor".
- Now go to the place you want to link to the bookmark from.
- Highlight the text where you want the link to underline.
- Click on the "insert..." combo box, and then "insert link..."
- Click on "Link to inpage bookmark"
- At the link dialogue box, enter your bookmark name from step 3. eg "bookmark1", then "Link Anchor"
Note: If this is for a bookmark on another page, put the #bookmark1 on the end of the url of the destination page using the freeformat URL link option.
