Next Steps
- Add the shopify plugin to your website.
- Copy and paste the API Key , API Password and your Store URL to the setup boxes on the plugin setup page.
- Tick all the product sychnronisations on this page, to ensure you get all images and meta data.
- Use the import product routines to sync all your products. This will be completed one category at a time.
- Import your customers
- After importing your products (and customers), you might consider importing your historical orders. It's important that you import your products prior. You may see errors if the products you sold previously do not existin in our database.
- Once you have completed a successful import, you should disable the syncing (and integration plugin), so that your site will remain stable as you change your pricing and product information in the future.
Other Considerations
- Consider product counts and order counts as to the correct hosting plan to choose on our platform.
- Sites with a lot of products or orders, will need to be on a higher hosting plan. Our hosting plans should remain competitive.
- The migration wizard is designed to speed up the effort involved in building a new website. It may not provide a perfect replica for custom themes and other custom developments or plugins that you previously used. There is no warranty over the migration/integration plugin. We will do our best effort to resolve issues, but some data requirements may not be feasible to achieve without paying for custom development, support, or consultancy.
Auto sync service only available on our premium hosting plans. The auto sync service aims to keep your stock and prices in sync between your shopify website and our website, and this may be a desireable outcome for some use cases. Typically this plugin is used for a one time migration, and then should be disabled.
All support for this area is chargeable on an hourly basis.
