Domain Renewal Notices / Trademark Infringements

It's common to receive emails or letters that look like invoices for domain renewals/registrations from disreputable third parties. It is a scam, please ignore.

These notices can come in the form of professional-looking emails or letters, and will look like an invoice. Generally they will come from America (even the letters). You may notice that the renewal fee is exorbitant. The aim of these scammers is to obtain a fee from you, then transfer the domain name to their registrar.

Be sure of who your domain registrar is. Only renew with your known registry. If in doubt, log in to the CMS first. Registering or renweing in the CMS will guarantee that you renew your domain with your registrar.
